SBHOA Community Meeting – September 19
Aida Curtis, President of Curtis + Rogers Design Studio reached out to present to the Silver Bluff community the Southwest Streetscape they are currently working on for the City of Miami. The project seeks to restore tree canopy and enhance stormwater retention capabilities in the Southwest portion of the City. A significant, and very valuable, part of this project is conducting outreach with the stakeholders and residents within this community to get a sense of the issues and aspirations of each neighborhood, with regards to tree canopy, transportation, flooding, access to open spaces, climate change, sea-level rise, etc.
Curtis + Rogers is currently working with the City creating a platform for questions and information for the community, this was the first meeting of more to come. Please stay informed and involved so that we can make a positive difference in our community.
We would like to thank Mayor Suarez for stopping by and giving us an update and support for our efforts – a wonderful and very much appreciated surprise. A big thank you and shout-out for the continuous support of Commissioner Reyes, Esteban Ferreiro (Chief of Staff), and Commander Garrido and his Team! Not sure if anyone realized, but a Silver Bluff homeowner is part of the Citizens on Patrol!
It was truly and engaged and wonderful meeting. Thank you!
